Armed with their respective instruments—Todd with the microphone, Rich on drums, Bill and Sean wielding guitars, and Dave handling the bass—they embarked on a musical journey that would leave an indelible mark on Reading, PA. Initially drawing inspiration from their musical deities, Carcass, Entombed, and Obituary, they soon deviated from the established path, blazing a trail of their own and obliterating all in their wake.
For nearly two years, perched atop the ruins of defeated adversaries, they honed their craft, mastering their musical sorcery and adopting the moniker Threnody. In late 1990, they unleashed a six-song onslaught titled "Internal Infestation," a musical massacre that proved unparalleled in its ferocity. Enchanted hordes clamored for more, propelling the band into a relentless live performance campaign, further sharpening their lethal skills at Reading's sole all-age club, Unisound.
As the initial wave of destruction settled, Threnody crafted additional songs and recorded another EP poised to be a bloodbath for all who dared to listen. Yet, due to forces beyond their mortal control, the EP remained unreleased, and these pioneering musicians were cast into separate realms.
