Dark Shadow confirms the release of "Solitude," the third single from their album Chapter Two: Celestial Bodies, available through Canadian label Sodeh Records.

Following the combative rawness of "Through Blood or Glory," Dark Shadow ventures into more introspective territory with "Solitude." The song explores the ambivalent relationship with isolation and the weight of a past that returns to question the strength built over the years.

"Solitude" presents a more conventional structure than its predecessors, yet it is no less complex in its emotional content. The piece addresses the paradox of a solitude that, having forged the protagonist's strength, now becomes the stage where the past erupts with all its rawness. The light that once soothed the pain now transforms into a piercing reminder of everything lost.

The track maintains the band's characteristic symphonic identity, though with a more restrained and melodic sound than previous releases. The orchestrations accompany the narrative with a more atmospheric treatment, allowing the lyrics to take center stage. The chorus, "Solitude has forged my strength / But now the past returns to me," encapsulates the tension between hard-won self-sufficiency and the vulnerability that time awakens.

Chapter Two: Celestial Bodies is Dark Shadow's second album and the successor to their debut work. The band continues to withhold additional details about the remaining material.
