Richie Cross Closes the Chapter with "Seven Seas" A Las Vegas Punk Voyage Through Doubt, Distance, and Resilience
Las Vegas punk/alt-rock artist Richie Cross closes out his debut full-length album, Bridging The Gap, with its final chapter: "Seven Seas."
Where the rest of the record wrestles with identity, resistance, and the pull of outside noise, "Seven Seas" turns the lens toward resolution. Built on imagery of open water, a worn-out compass, and an undertow that won't let go, the track follows a narrator caught between fear and clarity, until a single whispered reminder ("like my mother told me") reframes everything. What starts as disorientation becomes direction. What starts as drowning becomes navigation.
Musically, the song threads Cross's signature punk urgency through soaring, melodic choruses, giving Bridging The Gap a hopeful send-off after ten tracks of internal reckoning. It's less a resolution than a compass reset, the idea that peace isn't found by escaping the storm, but by learning how to steer through it.
"'Bridging The Gap' is really about what we do with the time we have," Cross explains. "There are so many things that can distract us from who we are and what actually matters. This album looks at that from a lot of different angles, but ultimately it comes back to how we live, what we learn along the way, and what we leave behind."
"Seven Seas" arrives alongside the full Bridging The Gap album, out now on SODEH Metal Records, joining previously released tracks "Widespread Coma," "My Right Two Feathers," "Lost Soul," and "By Design."

Biography
Richie Cross is a U.S.-based punk and alternative rock artist whose music blends raw intensity, melodic edge, and introspective storytelling. Influenced by classic and modern punk, alt-rock, and post-hardcore, his sound pairs driving guitars and urgent rhythms with themes of awareness, resistance, and personal truth. After stepping away from music earlier in life, Richie returned with renewed focus, channeling years of reflection into songs that confront disconnection, control, and the struggle to remain human in an increasingly numbing world. His writing goes beyond surface-level rebellion, exploring the emotional and psychological cost of conformity, identity erosion, and the quiet fight to stay conscious and present. Between 2024 and 2026, he re-established himself through a steady release cycle, earning international support from radio stations, playlists, blogs, and music journalists across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America. His single “60 Miles An Hour” gained particular attention for its sense of movement and freedom. He is now signed to SODEH Records. Richie is currently working on his upcoming full-length album Bridging The Gap, set for release on August 7, 2026. The project expands his punk and alt-rock foundation with heavier textures and deeper emotional range, exploring the space between survival and surrender, illusion and clarity, and autopilot living versus conscious choice.
