30 DENARI Expose the Brutal Reality of Modern Survival with “Modern Era Working Class”

Italian post-punk force 30 DENARI return with a striking first statement from their upcoming debut album Kindly Plotting For Riot, delivering a track that cuts straight through the noise of modern existence. “Modern Era Working Class” is a tense, cold-blooded reflection of contemporary survival, walking on earth, drowning inside.
Emerging from Italy’s underground with a sound steeped in post-punk, alt rock and industrial textures, 30 DENARI channel the stark minimalism of Joy Division, the shadowed theatricality of Bauhaus, and the militant pulse of Killing Joke, while injecting a modern electro-industrial urgency that feels suffocatingly present.
“Modern Era Working Class” unfolds like an endless loop: early alarms, long shifts, counting every coin, chasing stability that never arrives. The repetition in both rhythm and lyric mirrors the monotony of late-capitalist life. The refrain “We’re poor and busy / We try to fit in the box / It ain’t easy”, becomes less a hook and more a collective confession.
There is no romanticism here. The lyrics question productivity culture, financial anxiety, and the illusion of upward mobility. Lines like “you feel like drowning even when you’re walking on earth” capture the quiet psychological suffocation of a generation taught to compete rather than connect. Yet beneath the bleak atmosphere lies a sharp message: there is no victory without solidarity.
Sonically, gritty basslines drive the track forward while mechanical drums and cold electronic textures build a hypnotic, claustrophobic atmosphere. The song pulses with tension rather than release, a deliberate choice that reinforces its message. 30 DENARI don’t offer escapism; they offer confrontation.
Signed to SODEH Records with physical distribution through My Kingdom Music, the band are positioning themselves as one of the most critical voices against the system and sonically immersive new ensemble in European post-punk.
“Modern Era Working Class” is not just a single, it’s the opening chapter of a record that promises to blur genre lines and amplify the voices of those stretched thin by modern systems. For fans of dark atmospheres, industrial tension, and socially conscious songwriting, this is essential listening.

Biography
Formed in 2021 in Marghera, near Venice, Italy, 30 DENARI unite musicians forged in the worlds of metal-industrial, punk, anarcho-punk, and post-punk. With roots in bands such as Ensoph, Awake The Sun, Ishvara, Ashent, Order of Minerva, Raptus, CVM, Aliensurfers, Cani Sciolti, and Permanent, the collective channels decades of underground experience into a sound that is both confrontational and immersive.
Since their inception, the band have released multiple works and performed extensively across Italy and Europe, steadily building a reputation for intense live shows and a fiercely independent spirit. Their music fuses New Wave atmosphere, post-punk urgency, and electro-industrial weight, mechanical yet emotional, abrasive yet hypnotic, pushing beyond genre boundaries while remaining grounded in dark sonic tradition.
Lyrically, 30 DENARI confront the psychological pressure of a hyper-connected, material-driven society. Their songs dissect conformity, digital alienation, and the erosion of authentic human connection, advocating instead for awareness, simplicity, and a renewed harmony with nature.
